BERA - the British Educational Research Association - was founded in 1974 and now has over 1000 full members and, through its Associated Societies, is in contact with at least 1000 other people engaging in educational resarch. BERA publishes (in association with Carfax Publishing, part of Taylor and Francis Ltd) the British Educational Research Journal five times a year. This is a learned journal which takes an eclectic view of educational research. It is accredited by the Institute of Scientific Information, Philadelphia and so indexed in the Social Science Citation Index. For BERA members we publish Research Intelligence four times a year with news, BERA announcements and short articles. Occasional papers are also published.
