Seminar Series Grants and Miscellaneous Grants

The PESGB is pleased to announce the return of the Seminar Series Grant and the Miscellaneous Grant for the academic year 2019/20. Applications are now open.

The Seminar Series Grant offers support of up to £10,000 for the organisation of seminar series in the philosophy of education.

The Miscellaneous Grant offers support of up to £3000 to support one off seminars, seed corn research meetings, and other qualifying initiatives.

The PESGB is pleased to announce that applications for Doctoral Scholarships for the 19-20 academic year are now open.

British Academy/Leverhulme Trust Grants

PESGB is in partnership with the British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grant scheme to support research in philosophy of education. This funding is intended 'to facilitate initial project planning and development; to support the direct costs of research; and to enable the advancement of research through workshops or conferences, or visits by or to partner scholars.’ It is not normally expected that projects will include am empirical element.

Applicants may seek support for any combination of eligible activity and cost up to the overall limit of £10,000.

Small Grants

Applications for small grants of up to £750 are accepted throughout the year from members (of at least one year). For further details, see the Small Grants page.
